Spinal Decompression

Hand performing cupping therapy

Cupping & Scraping for Enhanced Recovery. These therapies increase blood flow, reduce muscle tension, and accelerate healing.

Cupping involves placing suction cups on the skin to create a negative pressure. This lifts the tissue, separating layers of connective and muscle to dramatically increase blood circulation to the area. This decompression applies tensile force to damaged tissues which promotes remodeling, which reduces pain and stiffness and promotes faster recovery. Scraping (or Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) uses a special tool to gently "scrape" over the skin to break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. It effectively reduces pain and improves mobility by stimulating a localized inflammatory response to re-initiate the healing process. Both are excellent for treating muscle strains, ligament sprains, and inflamed tendons.
