Therapy That Goes Beyond the Twin Cities

Virtual Therapy in Minnesota for Women

Living outside the Twin Cities shouldn't mean your options for finding the right therapist are limited.

Redbird Wellness is physically located in Hopkins, Minnesota, but Brooke Halliday, LPCC, provides online therapy to adult women throughout the state. Whether you're in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Rochester, Duluth, Alexandria, or a smaller Minnesota community, you can access specialized virtual therapy in Minnesota without traveling to our office.

Virtual Therapy Throughout Minnesota

Finding a therapist whose experience aligns with what you're going through can be challenging, particularly when you live somewhere with fewer mental health providers.

Brooke specializes in working with Millennial and Gen Z women navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, hyper-independence, and overfunctioning.

For women who have spent years managing everyone else's needs while struggling to make room for their own, finding a therapist who understands those patterns can matter considerably.

You can learn more about Brooke's therapeutic approach, virtual EMDR, and what to expect during appointments on our Online & Virtual Therapy page.

Finding Specialized Therapy Outside the Twin Cities

Living in a smaller Minnesota community can come with challenges when searching for mental health care. You may find that local providers have limited availability, don't specialize in the concerns you're seeking help for, or work within the same professional and social circles you do.

For some women, the possibility of running into their therapist at the grocery store or having overlapping connections can make seeking counseling feel uncomfortable.

Virtual therapy in Minnesota allows you to explore providers outside your immediate community while maintaining the same professional confidentiality standards that apply to in-person care.

Can I Receive Online Therapy Anywhere in Minnesota?

Yes. Brooke is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor through the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy and provides virtual therapy in Minnesota to eligible clients throughout Minnesota.

You don't need to live in Hopkins, the Twin Cities metro, or within driving distance of our office.

However, you generally must be physically located in Minnesota during your virtual appointment for Brooke to provide services under her Minnesota license.

Your permanent mailing address isn't necessarily what determines where telehealth services can be provided. Your physical location during the appointment matters.

What If I'm Traveling Outside Minnesota?

If you're planning to travel, it's important to discuss your upcoming location with Brooke before your appointment. Telehealth regulations are based on where you're physically located during the session, and being an established Minnesota client doesn't automatically mean you can attend appointments from another state.

Brooke also holds a South Carolina telehealth license, so appointments may be possible while you're physically located there, subject to applicable requirements. For other destinations, she'll need to determine whether services can legally be provided before your scheduled session.

Can I Switch Between Virtual and In-Person Appointments?

Potentially. Because Redbird Wellness has a physical office in Hopkins, Minnesota clients may have the option of combining in-person and online therapy sessions.

This depends on appointment availability, your treatment needs, and whether both formats are appropriate for your care.

Choosing a Minnesota Therapist Who Fits Your Needs

When researching virtual therapy in Minnesota, consider more than whether a therapist accepts your insurance or has an opening that fits your schedule. Their clinical experience, areas of specialization, and approach to treatment are worth exploring, too.

It's also reasonable to ask questions about their experience with the concerns bringing you to therapy. A provider's credentials tell you they're qualified to practice, but understanding how they work can help you decide whether their approach aligns with what you're looking for.
